Intramurals and Clubs

Get your homework completed with teacher support in a quiet, study friendly environment.

Practice Club open to any band or orchestra student needing a place to practice after school with guided help of a music teacher. Help with All-District auditions is also available during this time.

Want to try out disc golf? We will go outside & learn to play disc golf. Putt & approach discs are recommended for this intramural. Some discs will be available for borrowing. Mr Foster will do a little coaching and playing as well. It is recommended (but not required) that your child bring a putter & midrange to play with. Bring warm clothes on those chilly days. Limit 10 to sign up.

Come join your friends for some Minecraft fun!!

Enjoy popcorn and watch some of your favorites! Students will vote on which movies we watch and talk about.

Students will learn important life skills in fun and engaging ways. Topics include using a land line phone, reading an analog clock, making change, and basic safety skills. If you want to have fun while you practice these or any other basic life skills, this is the club for you!

Join Ms. Sewell and friends on a theatrical journey exploring a few of Spielbergs best!

Try your hand at jewelry making! Design a bracelet, necklace, or earrings. Experiement with new techniques and designs!

A safe meaningful walk to Sonic with friends and the opportunity to meet new friends. Student can purchase 3 things from Sonic and have to bring their own money for purchases. We walk back and stop at Fish Park before returning to school.

Vocal Music

Honor choir is an audition, after-school choir that meets Tuesdays after school until 3:15 p.m. Students will not be able to ride the bus so they will need to have a ride available. Honor choir performs at various school events during the year as well as CMS concerts. They also do 2-3 run-outs a year during the school day. A small group from honor choir will perform at the honor festival in December. The entire group will perform at the middle school music festival held in March.

Auditions for this ensemble will be held in October. 

Band

Band provides information to students and parents through the Charms website. Band is a year long class students must sign up for at the beginning of their seventh grade year. Congress band performs 2 concerts a year and participates in local contests.

The Dragons are the richest, most powerful beings in all the land, and they want to make a deal with anyone that has an idea that they think is worth it. If they don't like their idea however, they are getting fed to the vicious dragon Azriel. Who will get money and who will get burned? 

• April 10^th and 11^th at Park Hill High School at 7 pm.
• Information about tickets will be announced closer to the show.
