School Resource Officer

The Park Hill School District is pleased the Platte County Sheriff’s Department has placed a Deputy Sheriff at our school. The School Resource Officer (SRO) performs the duties of a law enforcement officer, which also include classroom presentations, acting as a resource to parents, students and staff, and assisting in mediations. The SRO can be reached at (816) 359-6770.

Students, parents, and staff members are highly encouraged to report all dangerous and potentially dangerous situations/events directly to an administrator or to the School Resource Officer (SRO). Any circumstance or situation where a student may be harmed include, but are not limited to, threats, harassment, acts of violence, drug activity, or weapons. Such acts should be reported (1) directly to an administrator, (2) directly to the School Resource Officer.

Keeping our school safe is paramount at Congress Middle School. Teachers, students and staff play a crucial role in helping maintain a safe learning environment. Reporting criminal and/or suspicious activity is a major component of resolving these and other behaviors. To do so, you can text-a-tip to the police by using your cellular telephone and following these instructions: Text cougar [and your tip] to CRIMES (274637). Your text will be received by the School Resource Officer where he can engage in real time chat with you regarding your complaint and take the necessary action to resolve the matter.
